Concord, CA — Susan Bonilla, candidate for Assembly in District 11, today announced receiving an endorsement from the California Professional Firefighters:

California Professional Firefighters has concluded candidate interviews in several key legislative races, and is announcing a number of early endorsements for the June 2010 Primary. California Professional Firefighters (www.cpf.org) is the largest statewide firefighter organization in California, representing 30,000 front line first responders in 177 local affiliates.

"These individuals stand out for their unwavering commitment to public safety," said CPF President Lou Paulson. "They have stood up for first responders and their families, and have earned the support of California's front line firefighters."

Bonilla's other endorsements include current AD-11 Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, Assemblywoman Fiona Ma, Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi, Senator Mark DeSaulnier, Congressman John Garamendi, and former State Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin. Bonilla currently serves as Chair of the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors, District IV. Prior to her election to the Board, Bonilla was on the Concord City Council and taught high school English in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
